2026/27 Carrick COugar Tryouts

Become a Carrick Cougar TODAY!  Register below for our 2026/27 tryouts.  Tryouts will be evaluated by the coaching staff with the purpose of identifying player placement between our Varsity and JV teams.  All players will be offered a roster spot on 1 of our teams!

Cost for tryouts is $100.  Upon the completion of tryouts, the organization will communicate the selected members designated to 'Varsity Only' status for the 2026/27 playing season.  At that time, registration links will be sent to all members for formal registration for the 2026/27 playing season.  Any player not offered a 'Varsity Only' designation but who completes the season registration, will be rostered as JV players with the ability to participate in Varsity games as a 'Call Up'.  Not all JV players are guaranteed to receive call up opportunities they they will be full time members of our JV team.

Tryouts will be held at the Spencer Family YMCA which is located at 305 Church Road, Bethel Park, PA 15102

All players must register for tryouts before attending.  You will be required to have a valid USA Hockey membership number and must be dressed in full equipment in order to participate.  Full equipment includes helmet, gloves, elbow pads, shoulder pads, neck guard, hockey pants/girdle, shin guards, skates, and a hockey stick.  All players should bring a light and dark colored jersey to all tryout sessions.
